Friends of TRA, Inc., formerly the Boxwood Alliance, supports TRA’s mission of promoting independence for older adults and adults with disabilities through education, social, and cultural programming. Together, TRA and Friends of TRA work to promote safety, independence, and mobility for older adults (aged 60+) and adults with disabilities (aged 21+) in Westchester, Putnam, the lower Hudson Valley, and parts of southwest Connecticut.
For many in this population, having help with transportation, and knowing what resources are available and how to access them, go a long way towards enabling them to live independently in the communities they love. Your gift will help TRA and The Friends of TRA provide non-emergency medical transportation, research other transportation and community service options, and engage technology to ensure that a needed service is actually provided.
TRA and Friends of TRA, Inc. operate as separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, allowing each to pursue its mission independently while collaborating effectively for greater impact. On the TRA donor page, we offer options for one-time and monthly donations, as well as independent fundraising opportunities, to make giving easy and meaningful. Your donations play a crucial role in empowering our community members to live with dignity and independence.
