Queer British Art 1861–1967

July 15, 2021 @ 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

In 2017, the Tate Gallery in London staged a landmark exhibition focusing solely on art made by queer British artists (among them: Duncan Grant, Gluck, David Hockney and Francis Bacon) between the years 1861 and 1967. Join us for a virtual walk around that exhibition to relive its most memorable moments. Discover the disproportionate contribution queer artists made to the cultural output of Britain during a time when same-sex desire could land you in prison for life.
