History Begins with Families

The television program, “Finding Your Roots” has turned thousands of viewers into armchair or serious genealogists and family historians. 
 
Local author and Rye resident Paul Hicks will discuss some of the resources available to beginners and more experienced practitioners, online and in archives, including the Knapp House in Rye. He will also look at the pros and cons of DNA programs that are used in tracing family backgrounds.
