Phoenix Art Museum Presents: Picasso & His Women

June 9, 2022 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Picasso was born on October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain. By the time he died in France on April 8 1973, he had created a staggering 22,000 works of art in a variety of mediums. Join us as Phoenix Art Museum Master Docent Carole James explores how the women in his life often dictated his style of painting. Throughout the presentation we will see realism, cubism, impressionism, and neo classical modes–happy and joyful to brutal and sad. Picasso was an extremely emotional man, and his art was influenced by his fluctuating relationships with the many women he had during his lifetime.
