The Stories We Tell: A Memoir Workshop

This six session workshop will teach us the basics of turning memory fragments into polished stories that others will want to read and remember. We’ll learn about the writing process and story elements like structure, beginnings and endings, and plot. Each class will feature a short introductory presentation before participants take turns sharing portions of pieces written during the intervening week and offering brief feedback on what worked well and what they’d like to know more about. By the end of the workshop you’ll be prepared to continue writing on your own. Led by Sharon Lippincott, writing instructor and editor
