• Art Series with Prof. Valerie Franco – Florine Stettheimer

    Virtual Presentation
    Florine Stettheimer

Born in Rochester, NY in 1871, Florine created quite a scandal with her feminist nude selfie-portrait. She was no stranger to controversy, with her paintings that explored sexuality & race, but, as we’ll see with Prof. Val Franco, she also created less controversial images of various social activities & gatherings.
