  • Bonnie Rapp’s Broadway Entertainment

    Join Bonnie as she takes you on a journey through the timeless songs of Broadway 1943-1956.

    Bonnie Rapp had the honor of playing the lead role of Christine Daaé in the National Tour/San Francisco Company of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera. Some of Bonnie’s favorite roles include Maria in The Sound of Music, Kate in Kiss Me, Kate, Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Louise in Gypsy and Sister Amnesia and Sister Leo in Nunsense, Nunsense II and Nunsense Jamboree. In addition, Bonnie has appeared in numerous galas, fundraisers, and Broadway concerts, including performances at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall.

    This program will take place in-person indoors in the Yeager Community Room of the Bronxville Public Library.

    Musical Theater is one of the oldest forms of entertainment in America. This two-part presentation will trace the development of musical theater from colonial days to the present. Along the way we’ll discuss the rise and fall of operetta, the development of Broadway as the center of musical theater and the emergence of the American Musical. Led by Gordon Neal Herman, Musicologist, Composer, Pianist.

  • Broadways’ Best: Iconic Dance Numbers and Choreographers

    Join retired Broadway veteran & former Radio City Rockette, Debra Vega, as she takes us on a journey through Iconic Broadway Dance Choreography in this 6-week lecture/demo series. Each week we will learn a new section of original Broadway choreography from a select show, a little about the choreographer behind the movement, and hear about Debra's personal stories from her time performing. Featured shows included A Chorus Line, West Side Story, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular and many more!
