  • Iconic Foods of New York

    Virtual Presentation

What are New York City's "iconic" foods? Over the centuries, new immigrants have brought their cultures and cuisines to the city, and they have been adapted, altered, and combined to become uniquely New York foods, with new dishes emerging all the time. Thirteen years ago, Turnstile Tours' Brian Hoffman embarked on a journey to discover the city's most iconic foods, and since then he has been writing and creating videos for his own blog Eat This NY and for local publications like Midtown Lunch and Gothamist. Join Brian and food tour educator Amanda Adler Brennan for a look at some of his favorite places in the city, and learn about why certain dishes have become such important cultural icons.
