  • Ready New York: NYC Emergency Management’s Public Education Campaign

    Virtual Presentation

Ready New York is NYC Emergency Management's public education campaign. Through the program, we will learn about the hazards we face in New York City and prepare for all types of emergencies by writing an emergency plan, choosing a meeting place, gathering supplies for our homes, and preparing a "Go Bag" in case we need to leave in a hurry. This presentation will also include tips on how to develop a support network, including the need to take time to plan on how to communicate with friends or emergency workers during an emergency. Additionally, we will review how to prepare and include items that fit personal needs, such as dietary or medical needs. Led by Matthew W. Puvogel, LMSW, Individual Preparedness Specialist
