• The Legacy of… The Creation of Pride Flags

    Virtual Presentation

Celebrate Pride month by flexing your creative muscles! Using materials found in our homes (like newspapers, magazines, construction paper, and other craft materials) we will create our own Pride flags. Together we’ll learn about the significance of the flags and their origin stories. We’re excited to come together and share what Pride means to us. Facilitated by Lasting Impressions Summer College Intern Amara Gregorek

  • LGBTQ+ Film Screening: Pride (2014)

    Virtual Presentation

Join us for the fourth installment of our monthly LGBTQ+ film club, which gives voice and visibility to the wide scope of LGBTQ+ experiences through film. This month's feature film, Pride, is a 2014 British historical comedy-drama film written by Stephen Beresford and directed by Matthew Warchus. Based on a true story, the film depicts a group of lesbian and gay activists who raised money to help families affected by the British miners' strike in 1984, at the outset of what would become the Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners campaign.
