Film Screening & Director Talk: Remembering Shakespeare
Join us for a film screening of Remembering Shakespeare, an original documentary directed by Shakespeare scholar and New School professor Cecilia Rubino, that uses the Bard's own words to consider new ways of thinking about memory in our digital age when memory has multiple meanings. In reviewing the film, author James Shapiro noted, “[this] hauntingly beautiful film and its unforgettable cast of characters has transformed for me what it means to 'commit' something to memory."
