• Ann Pearlman: My Life as a Writer

    Virtual Presentation

Pulitzer Prize nominee author Ann Pearlman returns to our library for a very special presentation, sharing fascinating stories of her life and writing career.

Ann Pearlman is eclectic, a writer in several genres and an artist in several media. Getting Free: Women and Psychotherapy was written with two colleagues and used as both a consciousness-raising book in the women’s movement and a college textbook. Keep the Home Fires Burning: How to Have an Affair With Your Spouse, garnered the attention of the Oprah Winfrey Show and other TV talk shows. Her memoir, Infidelity, was nominated for a National Book Award, a Pulitzer Prize, and made into a Lifetime movie by Lionsgate

Ann has lived in three countries and eleven different cities, most in the Midwest, and, for the longest stretch of time, in Ann Arbor, where The Christmas Cookie Club series is set.
