Saving Jewish Musical Treasures: Re-Discovering a Neglected Tradition

For the past 40 years, Dr. Hankus Netsky has taken an active role in rescuing extraordinary Jewish musical treasures that have been otherwise neglected, discarded, or overlooked. In this talk he will share some of these treasures and discuss how they have become cornerstones of the contemporary resurgence of traditional Jewish ethnic musical culture. Led by Hankus Netsky, co-chair of the New England Conservatory’s Contemporary Improvisation Department and founder and director of the Klezmer Conservatory Band
